Description
Each participant will leave with an introductory understanding of grafted apple trees, including rootstock and scions. We will cover the role and importance of rootstock as well as scion wood collection. We will cover basic grafting techniques, graft multiple “training” trees, and then each participant will graft two dwarf or semi-dwarf apple trees that they will take home with them. Participants will select from multiple apple varieties for their scion (top) of the tree. We will also enjoy some hot cider as we graft trees!
