Each participant will leave with an understanding of how to make apple butter at home. We will cover the importance of sanitation and proper canning techniques to insure a safe shelf stable product. Participants will help prep apples to be cooked down, process apples through a strainer to make apple sauce, cook and season the apple sauce, and can apple butter. We will also enjoy some hot cider as we work!
10+ Needs to be able to use a sharp knife and follow directions. Participants under 18 must be accompanied by a paying adult.
